Color and Materials: Vacuum Sealers

I was given the opportunity to determine the color and finish of 3 vacuum sealers. This came with the challenge of adding zero extra cost to production. As off-the-shelf products, there were limitations to what could be done in terms of styling.

My goal was to apply a professional appearing finish to each product while maintaining a sense of visual cohesion. All three devices needed to appear in line with the styling direction current to Presto’s main line of products.
I wanted to maintain a silver Presto logo across all three products to bring attention to the branding without making the appearance too gaudy.
Thank you
I chose a combination of Pantone Black 7C and standard process black. This created a tasteful tone-on-tone finish for all three products, and was easy to manage appropriately across all 3 devices. The Pantone Black 7C kept the product looking like a professional tool while maintaining an attractive gender-neutral appearance.
Graphics were designed to carefully bring attention to the important STOP button without making the button too disruptive to the color palette. I determined that Presto’s signature green would be fitting for the product but not overwhelming to the visual balance.
